Apprentice of the Demonhunter

Demons have been around for ages; as long as angels. And, naturally, they are the polar opposite of angels, and they enjoy nothing better than bringing hell to the Earth and to mankind.

Demonhunters have been around for almost as long. They enjoy nothing better than taking that hell and whipping it right back into some demon's face. This is almost your job. You are an apprentice demonhunter, almost ready to break free from your mentor and start busting hellspawn to all four corners of the world. Trouble is, you have to prove that you can, first.

Recently, you've heard of a small trade-route village--demons love these--in the plains that has been terrorized repeatedly by a "great filthy foul vulgar vile beast with sulphur for breath", as one smoking villager put it. Your mentor has decided that this will be your final test, the one that establishes you as a proper demonhunter. He has sent you off to this village to kick some scaly tail. Put on a good show!


Outside the Village Wall
Destruction runs rampant here; a gigantic fissure splits the once-strong wall into two, and the gate is missing entirely. The pitiful remnants of the village lie north, through the wall.
