The Princess In The Tower
"Three things you must find me for to prove your love," said the princess as she leant over the balcony of her tower. "Only then can we be together."
"I don't suppose you'd settle for a quick peck on the lips, would you?" you called from down below.
"No," called the princess. "First: the head of an orc. Second: the rib bone of a goblin. Third: a diamond the exact same size as a golf ball. Can you bring me all these things?"
"Well, there's the supermarket back east-"
But the princess shook her head. "No, you must find these items elsewhere than the supermarket. Scour the land, my brave prince, and find what I require. Then return here and enter my tower. Then, only then, can we be together."
You considered all this (the head, the bone, the diamond) and expressed your opinion of the whole thing: out loud "it shall be my pleasure" and to yourself "aw, crap!"
Outside the tower
You're standing on a windswept at the base of a large tower which soars into the night sky above you. The tower appears made from a glowing substance which is quite eerie in the surroundings.
East lies a forest, west a marsh, south a desert, north a plain where the wildebeests roam. And a door leads inside the tower itself.
